Busy, Busy, Busy!!

We have been really busy here lately.
I will have to update Monday when I will finally have some free time.
Right now I am thankful to be home and in one piece. Yesterday the wind was blowing and so with nothing to stop the wind but a couple of barbed wire fences the roads drift really bad.
Mason, Austin and I spent the day over at his parents house so that Austin could use their garage to work on the brakes of his car.
Not a big deal I followed him over in the pickup because he also had something he wanted to do with it also. So last night when we left to come home the roads were horrible. I am talking drifts that come up to the grill of the pickup and go almost across the road. I have never been so scared in my life.
I would never had put Mason and myself in such danger if I had known what the roads had been like. Robin and Jeff's house is off from the road in a really wooded area and the drive is a quarter of a mile long. You don't' really know how bad it is outside until you get a couple of miles from the house. We didn't turn around because Austin informed me that the worst of it was only for another mile. He was not lying but that 'worst' was really bad. Not that I could have gotten him to turn around anyway.
I will admit though that if Mason hadn't been in the truck it would have been fun. I think it is just amazing how your child being there with changes the definition of 'fun'. I might be an adrenaline junkie so flying through snow drifts is right up my alley. My husband on the other hand is just dangerous and life endangering. (no my thinking is not skewed)
I will just die if Mason inherits these traits from us. I would like to think that he will never be in danger. Maybe I should put it as that he will never put himself in that kind of danger. It is impossible to think that he will never be in danger. He is a boy after all and danger and mischief seem to go hand in hand.
