Now I've got to go and sew some more... We've got Christmas here at my house on Sunday and their gifts aren't even done yet... I'm hoping to be done with them by the middle of this afternoon so that I can attack the bathroom... It is in desperate need of good scrubbing. It smells like a urinal. Sad but true my son has no aim... and I think he enjoys peeing in the trash can when I'm not watching... I even caught him trying to pee in the sink. We sat down and had a very awkward talk about where it is appropriate to pee. I think it went in one ear and out the other though. And last night I caught him trying to pee in the toilet from the bathtub... I have my work cut out for me.

A Week
I haven't decided what my theme will be for next years 365 project. This year didn't have a theme. Partly because I didn't know if I would be able to actually do it. A photo a day is a daunting task. There are some days where I don't want to get out my camera. I don't know what to take a photo of, either mason isn't cooperating or we are busy and I don't even think about it until late. On the days where I know we are gonna be busy I picked a house plant and took a picture. I know real original but some of those are my favorites. There are some photos that just stand out to me as being some of my best. I think I may make a calendar for 2011 with a favorite photo of every month. I've really been waiting for it to snow so I could get my photo for this month...
Some days I think having a theme for the year would make it easier and then this niggling little thought in the back of mind says "Seriously, a theme? You are nuts..." I guess time will tell.

November 29
Yesterday was good. I, along with my little sister, Cameron, and my niece, Morgan, helped my mom paint the outside of a rental property. It sucked. It was windy and there were leaves sticking to the outside of the house in the wet paint. Then the wind was blowing the paint all over us as we were taking our brushes/rollers from the trays to the house. My outfit I had on look like I let someone splatter paint me.
We painted until dark and then headed to mom's for supper. It was so yummy and hot. Nothing beats ham, noodle and potato soup on a chilly day. After supper we sat around and talked. I had planned to head home around 8 but that didn't happen. It was around 10 before I ever got on the road. It was around 1:15 am when I pulled into my driveway. I was just so glad to be home. My bed has never felt so good.
Today I have been working on my 365 blog. Slowly but surely it is getting done. We are getting down to the end of the year and my poor neglected is stuck on May 31. How sad is that? I'm hoping by the end of the day to have the whole months of June and July up. I've learned this year that it is so easy to take a picture a day but it is so hard to get the time to get them on the blog. Therefore they just sit on my external hard drive. So sad. All those pictures just sitting there with no one looking at them.
Very soon though you'll be able to see what the rest of my year looked like. But for the rest of the afternoon I'm going to be adding photos to previous post so you'll have to check back on some of those older post...

Today my sister and her husband and boys came down. And they brought their guns... We had a great day target practice with the 4 boys and the 2 big ones, aka their fathers.
After supper us girls played a game of rummy. Marianne smoked us.
Now that it is late and I'm laying in bed I'm going to go to sleep... and it's before midnight... Woot Woot!

Thanksgiving 2010
I got down here (my parents house) about 10. I grabbed some supper and went to bed... ha right!
Actually I changed and went to the bar with my brother to meet my sister and her boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. We had a great time and closed down the bar. One of my favorite local bands was playing. Chasing Daylight is a band that one of my formal school mates sings in... and plays guitar. He is really great and I know one day he will make it bigger than singing in bars and the like. I remember when he was learning to play guitar and had to look at his hands all the time. Now he is playing like a pro and singing with his eyes closed which he always said was 'too hard... what if I. Look retarded or fall'... I got some great photos of him performing but those will have to wait as I'm bloggging from my phone yet again.
After getting home from the bar my brothers sat in the kitchen 'gossiping' and going down memory lane. Every time I tried sneaking away to go to bed they sucked me back into the conversation. Finally around 4 we all headed to bed. First though I had to wake my neice up to come sleep with me because my room was really cold. REALLY COLD!!
I got a whole 3 hours of broken sleep before having to get up for the day.
Today was spent helping mom get ready for Thanksgiving dinner. Pies had to be made, bread had to be baked, I had to go pick up the turkeys from my sister's house. The morning went by in a blur. Thanksgiving dinner was great and we actually ate on time.
In the evening we headed to Shen to have pie and conversation with my husband's grandma and his uncles. Always a good time... We always laugh way too much. Mason kept us entertained. Especially when I asked him a question and his answer was that I as annoying him.
Now we are on the way to Grandpa Hansell's. My day is nowhere near over. I am heading to Council Bluffs with my neice to stay at my grandma's house so we can go shopping in the morning.
Wish me luck!!

...
I would say it is safe to say that winter has arrived in Iowa.
Ideally it would have waited until after Thanksgiving but o'well it is what it is.
I'm busy packing and getting things ready to head down to my mom's for the weekend. Not a very exciting day.
Bonus: Got the baby blanket done!

Tuesday
I should have been packing today. Okay at the very least been doing laundry but I wasn't. Instead I made Cammie a baby blanket, two burp rags and a bib for a baby shower she has to go to on Sunday. Inbetween all that I was dealing with a teething baby that I'm babysitting and making two dish mats. They are super cute.
I'm so ashamed that I haven't gotten any photos non here yet. Maybe next Monday after the holiday rush and before the next one gets in full swing... I have them all sitting in a folder just don't have thetime to upload them all and write about them...
Which reminds me that you can see the post of the crazy husband requested photos at (and bear with me here I'm on my phone) http://www.neckdeepinchaos.com. He has another one coming up too that I can't wait to try to get photos for!

Just to Recap...
We'll start this at Friday night.
Friday night we took Mason over to his grandparents house for the night. Which I might add I asked them to babysit for a couple of hours, they asked if he could stay the night. I know that sounds like progress but it isn't. Trust me! So back to me now...
After dropping Mason off we headed to dinner. Dinner consisted of the best Chinese in Ames. The Mandarin. It was so yummy. It is always YUMMY! Austin and I are people watchers. Plain and simple, there are a lot of freaks out there and they were in full force Friday.
On one side of us there was a germophobic family. I can't make this shit up. The daughter told her mom she had to use the restroom so the mother gave her surgical gloves and a spray bottle. The daughter asked what it was and the mother says bleach water so be sure not to get any on your clothes...
The daughter was in college.
When said daughter got back to the table the whole family used germX...
I'll admit they looked normal but... ya... freaks.
Now to the next table... This table is directly to my right. Sitting at it are two people. One a very well groomed male and the other a woman. (There was some debate between Austin and I as to whether she was really a female. At least until she started talking.) The
As the night went on Austin and I noticed that the guys 'alternative lifestyle' lisp would come and go and the pitch at which he spoke would change.
Then towards the end of our meal the woman started talking and confirmed she was a female. She was talking with a German/Swedish accent. One time it would more German and the next more Swedish. Then she started talking French. The male evidently didn't speak French because love, bathroom, car, and child with some other french words don't usually go together in one sentence. Well at least not that sentence and make sense. Just trust me on this. All she did was run the French words she knew together and made it sound like she knew the language.
I busted up laughing and my wonderful and loving husband (no sarcasm here) started laughing too. After they left he asked what was said. Got to love that man.
I know you think it is probably enough that we had two fruity tables near us but then I would be leaving out the cheesy, sleek haired, sleaze ball and the younger girl(friend)/paid date making out at a table in the back. It was gross enough that when their food came it was in to-go bags. Confirmed by our waiter!! When you are regulars the waiters let a lot slip. Well that and great service!!
After dinner we headed to the fabric store, JoAnns, my husband was very patient. I won't say he didn't whine because he did but he was very good. Especially considering it was a fabric store. Nothing manly in sight. Including the male employee...
After JoAnns we headed to Target to get some Christmas shopping done for Mason. That was a total bust. We got him one toy. ONE! We did get us a new UNO game. UNO Flash. Such a blast! Might be one of the best purchases we have made all year.
Now Austin and I are wondering how much to spend on Mason for Christmas. An only child so he never has to share. An only Grandchild on my husbands side so he gets lots of little things from them. He is grandchild number 8 and great-grandchild number 10 on my side. We have to buy him something as his parents but how much do we buy him? What is a good dollar figure? Or should there be a dollar figure? We thought about a bike but then do we just get him the bike or the bike and a couple of little things. Or this bike for Christmas because it is something that seems indulgent for just anytime of year and not worry about the price of it affecting the rest of his Christmas? I know the crazy things that plague my thoughts...
So that brings us to Saturday.
Saturday morning I woke up to a quiet house. You know the eerily quiet. I thought it was a lot earlier than it was so me having to pee snuck downstairs really really quietly. You know so that I didn't wake the child who was sleeping 10 minutes away from our house... I walk into the kitchen and realize it is 8:15. WooHoo on sleeping in!! Anyways realizing it is 8:15 and I'm to be in Webster City at 8:30 or so... got my butt to moving.
I made it to Web City in record time to pick up my friend Jess and her sewing machine. I know!! I got to spend my birthday sewing!! Jess and I headed to the grocery store before heading home. You know we had to get the food for the rest of the people coming over that evening. We spent the day laughing and sewing. Jess got way more done than I did! I got 7 quilted coasters done. And those aren't even finished finished... I still have to get the binding done around the outside... I have another set of those to do and a couple of dish mats and some rice heat pads and a couple of table runners. I will be very busy till Christmas. VERY BUSY!
Around 5 or so we decided we had better start supper for the troupe of people that would be showing up hungry. Chili and potato soup were on the menu and neither one takes very long. We whipped up some corn bread and about an hour later we were eating.
After getting everyone fed and everything picked up we decided to break out the new game. We had so much fun. No more sh*tt*ng on your neighbor because you had no clue who was gonna be next. A couple of times people had to eat their own skip or draw 4 cards. We also played Spoons and Polish Poker. I know you get all of us so called adults together and we just become little kids. Very loud, obnoxious, and annoying kids.
So that is how I spent my birthday. I will be getting my gift sometime next week. I am getting a Kindle. I just have to get it ordered. I was hoping to have it by the time I have to go to my families for Thanksgiving but it just wasn't in the cards. Mainly because I am a procrastinator. That's okay though since they would all want to touch it anyways and I don't like to share really well. (Shh Jess) I mean with my family...

Thursday...
I like it that way!!
I have yet to make my shopping list for Friday night. Yes, I need my list. If I don't have a list then I won't get anything I actually need and end up spending twice as much. I don't usually mind that though because it just adds to my stash but I'm trying to be a good girl and that includes not adding to my stash around the holidays.
Oh, and I'm ready for the weather to decide if it is going to be warm or cold and then stay that way for awhile. My finger nails are not liking this warm one day cold the next trend we seem to be stuck in. I've broken 6 nails in 4 days... It's not been my best week.

Productive...
I completed one whole project and am almost done with a second!! What a great feeling!
Most of the things on my to-sew list are things to be given away. Whether that be baby shower gifts, wedding gifts, Christmas gifts, or birthday gifts. Occasionally there is something on there for just me. Just me!
Now I can cross one of those things off.
I have needed a different bean bag for newborn shoots for quite some time. My current one is an Iowa State one that I got at Target for $5. It is bright red and yellow and shaped like the typical bean bag. I have had the idea for a flatter bean bag in my mind for a very long time. Last night I actually put that idea onto paper and got it accomplished. It is really sad considering it didn't even take me 2 hours and that includes time to cut and sew! I just need to get some filling for it. I thought about just using the filling that is currently in my old bean bag but have decided that I don't want to use the tradition pellets. I am leaning towards foam scraps. 1 because they are cheaper. 2 because they are cleaner. We'll just have to see when I go to JoAnns on Friday.
Austin is actually going with me on Friday. I don't think he is aware of this yet. My birthday is Saturday and he is horrible about buying gifts so we usually go out just the two of us and I pick out my gift. Well, I've decided, this year to combine my birthday and Christmas and get a Kindle but he doesn't need to know that yet. So while we are out on Friday I can coerce him to go to JoAnns. I'll play it that I can't decide what I want for the b-day present but that I need the stuffing for my project. I know just genius!! That's me! And he says I don't know how to manipulate him... While we are there I'll get the rest of the supplies for Christmas presents.
I did complete a wedding gift last night. It is a dish mat. You know for when you take plastics out of the dish washer you can just set them on the dish mat to dry. Or if you have a pan that you don't like to put in the dishwasher. A pretty dish mat! I love it and Austin asked if I was really sure I wanted to just give it away. Evidently he thinks it would look good in our kitchen.
On tonight's agenda is two camera straps. I had made them before and had them setting aside ready to go to their new owners but now I can't find them. So instead of tearing apart my house I'm just gonna make new ones. So much easier.

Whoa...
It has just been a blur!
Now I'm gonna finish this here and get started on some Christmas gifts... not very many days left... I decided that they only person we are actually buying gifts for would be each other and Mason. I'll let you know how all that goes after the holidays...

Monday...
Today though I started babysitting a 3 month old little girl full time. She is so sweet and so quiet and Mason just loves her. And now I'd better go feed said little girl some lunch...

Novemeber 14
I love a good fabric store. So many possibilities!!
I found my favorite print in a cotton fabric instead of flannel. Well I guess I shouldn't say my favorite but other peoples favorites for little girly blankets and accessories.
I decided to get 6 yards which would get me 4 blankets and some burp clothes and some bibs. I take it up to the cutting counter and the lady takes F O R E V E R...
First she counted out 7 yards instead of 6 and instead of having her count it out again I just said 7 was fine. Then she realized there was only 6 inches left on the bolt so I told her to throw that on there too. She told me that she would have to put it on separate because she didn't know how to put it on her thing. I suggested she forget about the extra inch and just put it in as 7 and 1/16 yards. She said she couldn't because then I would get that inch for free. I countered that as I can one inch samples of any fabric in the store for free... She was confused because the store had only been open a week and so I just decided to go with the flow.
It took her 30 minutes to cut my fabric. One yard of brown minky, two yards of pink flannel, and the 7 yards 6 inches of butterfly I ended up with...
As you can imagine I was just slightly annoyed when I headed to the check out... I finally get everything paid for and head out the door to meet back up with my friends who have just gotten back to the vehicle...
We pull out of the parking lot and that is when I decide to see how much I actually saved at JoAnns by using my coupons... First thing I notice is my total. 25.16. Twenty-five dollars and sixteen cents!! How crazy! I noticed that I didn't get charged full price for the butterfly. I got charged for .196 yards and .167 yards, or $1.16 and 1.00 respectively.
I don't feel bad about getting that much for free!! I have been screwed over enough times by that chain that I just don't care. Will it stop me from going there to buy most of my stuff? No!
And so now I've got plenty of baby blanket making supplies.
I finally got home about 6. It is going to feel so good to sleep in my own bed tonight.

November 13
Lisa wasn't feeling well due to her own medical problems, Jodi is getting over her a cold and was up all night coughing, Tracey forgot her mouth guard and was grinding her teeth all night and Molly was snoring softly... I am a very light sleeper. It was not a good combination!
Oh, and did I mention it was hot in the room and we had no window we could open.
Anyhoo... Tracey, Molly and me all got up around 7:30 and got dressed to go to the conference. It was really good and I always get so much out of it. I won't bore you with the details but I would encourage you to go next year. It is always a good time!!
AAfter the conference Tracey and Molly headed home because they had obligations tomorrow. Lisa, Jodi and me headed to supper and of course more shopping! Then we saw a bowling alley. It was early enough that we decided a little bowling was in order... I rocked with scores of 96 and 58. A sad thing considering my average in the leagues Austin and I have been in over the years have been around 170. But you know that is with my custom drilled ball and my own bowling shoes. A huge difference in quality, weight and comfort...
After bowling we were on the way back to the hotel and Lisa saw a KMart so of course they had to stop!
Now we are back at the hotel and I have a bed all to myself and am really hoping for a good nights sleep. The drive home should be interesting. We will be driving home through some snow. By the time we get up in the morning there could be 3 inches of the of the horrible white stuff on the ground.
I knew winter was coming but was hoping it would hold off for a little longer. Mason and I played outside Tuesday barefoot... Now we get to build snowmen and sled!! Yay!!

November 12
This morning I woke up early, got dressed, threw my bags in the car and headed up to Webster City to meet up with some friends for the long drive to Rochester Minnesota. I was so proud of myself that I was actually on time!!
It was a great day for a drive... right... It was cold a rainy and windy!
Our first stop was Medford. Yep! An hour out of the way. For what you ask. Shopping of course!! If you know me then you know that shopping is not my idea of a fun day. Especially a day of shopping with 4 women who love to shop. None had anything specific they were looking for. Just shopping for the sake of shopping... After several hours of shopping we headed on over to Rochester. The roads were slushy... and it had started to snow.
After getting to our destination city these same girls noticed we were early and decided to do some more shopping. I know! Even more shopping!
We finally got to the hotel and dressed we headed to the Hearts at Home Mom's night out. We got to hear Sally Bauke. (www.funnygalsal.com) She is so funny. But maybe I just think so because her husband is also a 'nerdy engineer' so I understand what she means when she makes fun of him...
It was just such a great night that it almost evens out all the shopping. Almost!
Now it is late and I have to get up early in the morning. Tomorrow should be fun! Right now though I get to enjoy a night of child/dog/husband uninterupted sleep.

It was such a great game. Our Knights played with honor and heart! They had such a great season it was so wonderful to see them get so far. I hope their momentum carries over to next season. I think having the semi-final trophy in the case will just motivate them to get back there next year.
Now that my throat hurts and my head is still pounding I'm going to bed. Got to get up early to head to Rochester for the Hearts at Home conference. Girls weekend! Woot woot!!

November 10
He wanted me to take some different photos of Woody and Monktey... Here is just a little preview. You'll have to stalk his blog for the actual release and the story. I think it might be my favorite yet!! I've tried convincing him that he needs to post more often but he won't and then he won't let me read the ones he has ahead of time I have to check my blogger reader everyday just for his post. I did get to read this one though so that I knew what type of photos he wanted.
After this little project I told my husband rather sweetly that if he was gonna continue to be such a tough customer that he was gonna have to start paying my session fee... He just laughed at me.

November 8
If you believe that then you have never met my son!!
Mason is what I would call
Between editing my friends session I made no less than a hundred trips up the stairs to 'play' and have 'fun'. Obviously Mason's definition of 'play' and 'fun' differ from mine. It sure didn't help our schedule when he poops 4 times and only once was on the potty. No, he wasn't sick! He complained about his tummy hurting and that isn't too far fetched I'm sure. I'm positive that his stomach hurt... These were not little poops. So today he is off of milk which is kinda like asking him to drink vinegar instead...
He just doesn't understand that he can't have milk. Especially chocolate milk... I'm such a mean mommy because when he open the fridge there is two gallons of the yummy chocolate milk. To him I am just being selfish...
So after arguing with him all day over the milk and the not using the potty as the poop receptacle Austin got home and thankfully took him to town with him. I then had around an hour in which to do anything I wanted. I decided to make supper. I put supper on the stove and then I made some oatmeal raisin cookies.
My husband knows something is up because that is two days in a row I have made cookies...
He is such a smart man...
He'll know it is something really big tomorrow when I make the peanut butter cookies I've been craving... I'm just gonna let him wonder about it for awhile.

...
I know this sounds callous but it isn't meant that way. Marianne's husband, Jesse, has non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, for the 3rd time in 3 years. This last time it came back just 3 months after his stem cell transplant. They opted for the chemo pill clinical study this time instead of doing the regular chemo. It was suppose to be easier, less side effects, etc. It hasn't been. Jesse is in pain all the time. There has been times the pain has been so bad he has used lamaze breathing to deal with it. The last two times he has gone through treatment he has gained weight but this time he has lost about 50 pounds.
They have been at the hospital everyday for a long time. Whether it was for Jesse or just to see his mom, most days it was both. I don't know how Marianne has kept it together so well. I'm sure I would have already crumbled.
Tonight I pray for peace for this family and a 10 marker match for Jesse.
I don't think most people realize how important it can be to be a living donor. It can be as easy as giving blood. I would not hesitate to give given the opportunity. A couple of weeks ago we, being my mom, sisters, and me, signed up for marrow donation. It is so easy to register. Just go to Be The Match and register. They send out a self kit which basically includes a questionnaire and 4 q-tip things. Fill out the questionnaire and swap your mouth in 4 places, mail it in and you're done.
I'm hoping tomorrow brings better news.

Nail Biter
The Wildcats had some big boys on their team. Most the size of our biggest boy. It looked like David and Goliaths out there. Well at least until we actually started playing. We might not have had an even size advantage but they are fast and slippery.
Everything was going great the first half. We were on the scoreboard. Hell, we were winning 14 to zip at the half.
That is when the refs decided they didn't like us.
Bad calls, blind eyes, shifting the ball, calling the ball down before it was down, holding calls, and one unsportsman like conduct that no-one saw and ref never did announce who it was on but they sure took our 15 yards. But don't worry they weren't all around bad refs. They were doing great for the Wildcats!
In the middle of all the bad calls the Wildcats got on the scoreboard. Tied.
F-M ran for two touchdown passes for over 50 yards and both times flags were thrown as soon as our guy broke through the line. There were a lot of upset people.
By the end of regulation game they kept fighting over the 50 yard line so they let time run out and we went into overtime.
As always there is a coin toss to see who would get offense first. The Knights won the right. I was a little worried when the Wildcats were excited about getting defense first...
The Knights went in there and gave it their all.
As I understand it they get possession on the 10 yard line and have 4 tries to get a touchdown.
I swear the Wildcats put in their biggest boys. It looked grim the first 3 attempts but finally on the 4th our guy broke through their line and scored. I have never yelled so loud (the whole 2nd half really). We missed our extra point. Not a problem we were still in it.
Wildcats get a turn... Our boys did awesome and pushed the ball back a yard on the first try. I don't think anyone was sitting down... oh and I had to pee so bad... anyways... Our boys did great on the second but they gained a couple of yards. And it was so cold we couldn't feel our feet. The third they gained a couple more yards. By the time they started the 4th the crowd was just one big yell...
They cracked...
FUMBLE!!!
We WON!!!
There was a bunch of cheering (not too many by the actual cheerleaders though) and jumping up and down. My throat hurts today... like hurts to just breathe.
Our boys were good winners and took a knee as the Wildcats were presented with their trophy. The Wildcats were very gracious losers too. After they accepted their trophy the players and crowd just quietly dispersed. Almost eerie how quick and quiet it happened.
It makes me ponder if we had lost... would we have been as gracious? After all the bad calls and near misses. Would we have been able to leave quietly?
I don't think we would have been able to.
One more game and we are in the state final. The next game is in Cedar Falls at the UNI Dome on Thursday November 11th. I don't know if I have my husband talked into letting me go yet or not. I would have to find a babysitter for the entire day and then the next morning I take off for Minnesota for the weekend...
It might take a couple more of sweet talking and good hot meals for supper... but you know... on time and stuff like that...
I'm not ready to throw the birthday 'card' in yet to get my way. I have other plans for that ploy...

Love/Hate Pandora
Thanks to the Tune In app on our Droid phones we are able to tune into local and national radio stations. Right now I'm sitting in Stratford Iowa and listening to an Omaha radio station. AWESOME!! A station that I drove out of signal around mile marker 73 or so...
There might be commercials but at this day and age I think that is a given. Just something we all have to get over. Or if your like me, learn how to work around. It is so quick to change channels that as soon as I hear that commercial start I am already listening to something else.
My absolute favorite though is that I can get the KLOVE stations.
And before I forget... GO KNIGHTS!! I'm skipping a wedding to go to the playoff game. I don't feel guilty though... I've got their gift ready to mail... Now I need to wash my winter coat so I don't freeze my tail off tonight!! Woo Hoo!! GO KNIGHTS!!

I Don't Think I Actually Slept...
And yet I know this and it didn't change anything... It is Thursday. I'll be in a crappy mood if I want to be!

Day 3
When I finally got home yesterday I set Mason up in front of the tv and jumped in the shower because they smoke in the house down there and that smell just kinda lingers... My husband got home early so I had to dig into my clothes that came home with me and as you have guessed they didn't smell just laundered fresh. Kinda ruins the great mood I was already in.
We all loaded up and headed into town. Thankfully we live in a very rural area and didn't have to wait too long to vote. Too long being more than a couple of minutes. Next stop was the grocery store. Austin decided on ham steaks for supper. Is there anything easier? After the store we headed to Boone to WalMart. Toy Story 3 came out yesterday on DVD. By the time we got home and Mason bathed and ate it was past bedtime.
Today has been spent just trying to catch up. You know doing laundry, washing dishes, picking up, vacuuming, telling the little boy no a millon times. Sad thing is that tomorrow looks like much of the same.
Friday I am going to the next round of playoff for the Knights since the game is only about an hour from my house. Then next week will be spent with me getting things easier for my husband to handle while I am out of town for the weekend. Secretly I hope that Mason is a complete terror for him... He deserves no better than I get on a regular basis...
And that sums up day 3. Tune in for another exciting installment tomorrow. One where I'll hopefully have more than 5 minutes and can actually put photos on.

Day 2
Yesterday morning Mason woke up, lifted his head, looked at me and puke came flying out of his little mouth... all over me... Totally not the way I like to start the day. Through out the day he puked another 4 or 5 times. He wasn't feverish and was acting competely normal. It was just that every onnce in a while he would stop playing and make a run for the bathroom. Not that he actually made it to the bathroom every time but the effort was appreciated. I had not anticipated him sharing his malady but he sure did! At 4 this morning I found myself bowing to the porceline thrown... thanks Mason!!
I cannot afford to be sick. Today we have to drive home to vote! I sure hope everyone remembers to go vote today!! If you've been reading this blog for long I'm fairly sure you know how I am going to vote. I don't vote right down party lines though because let's admit it there are crooked politicians on both sides...
I'll just sum up just how much this day will suck... I have to drive home. Hopefully this will get accomplished without me puking in the car. I have to shower as soon as I get home because after staying at mom's I have that faint smell of ashtray all over me. Then I have laundry to do so I can wear something clean to the polling place. Ha! Hopefully I don't have to wait too long for my wonderful husband to get home so we can vote together.
And so this concludes day 2. I have some goods things lined up for the rest of the week. A recap of Halloween and a couple of other projects with... wait for it... PHOTOS!! Mason and all the other little boys were so cute and my little projects are too if I say so myself!

WooHoo
Who knows I might even post more photos this month!!!
Now onto other news...
Fremont-Mills won their football game tonight... 65 to 27!!!! It was such a great game!! The cheerleaders sucked... but the game was great! Now F-M continues on in the playoffs. It would be an understatement to say that the whole town is beyond excited!
And that concludes day one of thirty.
A day that started out with me getting puked on and ended with a great football game. More on the puking tomorrow,,,

Overview
I decided I should have at least one post this month. You know just because.
So lets see... what we've been up to...
Um... As you can tell it has been really memorable.
We went camping for Labor Day. The overnight temps were in the low 40's the first night. The next two nights Mason spent the night in my sister's camper. We had tons of fun! Mason got to play with his cousins and I got to 'play' with my sisters. Over all it was a great weekend.
The next weekend was a family reunion on my Dad's side. You know just a little gathering that my husbad refers to as the freak show and we refer to as the dating game to my brothers. It was a gorgeous day. Mason played and played and went to bed early. YAY!
Then I spent the week at my mom's house. I helped Cammie and Ricky get their new house ready for carpet and counter tops Monday night. I got back to mom's around 4 am. Got to bed around 5:30. Mason got up at 7. I know AWESOME... Tuesday evening we went to my nieces volleyball game where I got to meet my brother, Donnie Guy's, new girl friend. After Mason went to bed I went back up to Cammie's and helped some more... Wednesday my mom was off from work so we spent the day with her. Well Mason did at least. I left them at home playing and went to help Cammie and Ricky with their deck. Thursday Mason and I stayed around long enough to have lunch with Cam and Ricky and then we headed home. I had told Austin that I would be home by the time he got home. I made it by 10 minutes.
I wouldn't have helped Cammie and Ricky nearly so much as I am more of a supervisor than helper but Cammie was sick. Like sick sick. Snotty nose, cough, fever, the whole bit. I stressed to her that it would not become habit to 'help'.
Friday Austin took a half day at work. We did some work outside and then went to a friends house for supper.
Saturday Mason spent with Austin's parents. You know the people that live 10 minutes away and yet hadn't seen their grandson for 6 weeks. Those grandparents... It was suppose to be a weekend but ended up being just Saturday from about 10 to 7 or so when they dropped him off. I was personally surprised it happened at all. I know such faith. Ha! I just know them. Sad.
Sunday was spent outside. We finished taking the coopla off the corn crib and burning it. I am still sore from the demolition. Austin was clear up on the platform that used to be under the coopla, you know before it started to fall over... I was for sure he was going to come down with the stupid thing. About a year ago one side and half the roof came tumbling down so only half of it was still up there. It looks so much better now. Our fire was a little hot. We had it set up on a cement slab next to the barn and the barn was HOT to the touch. I know probably not the safest but we didn't really care if the barn burned down or not.
The fire was still going, although a lot smaller, at 3 in the morning when I let the dogs out. I can't wait until we get to burn our huge (HUGE) brush pile. We just need to find a weekend where all of our friends are in town. It is big enough though that we might end up finding a babysitter so we don't have to worry about all the little ones around the fire though. Bonus: Austin is getting ready to add to the pile.
Last night was another night spent outside. We have hopefully mowed the yard for the last time!! We typically keep our grass about 3.5 inches but we cut it down to 2 inches for fall. Nothing is worse than tall dead grass when you are trying to walk in the snow or play with a 3 year old before it snows...
So that is what we have been up to.

Yippee
Onto other
Ahhh... Monday
Saturday morning Mason and I loaded up and headed south. My little sister, Cameron, is turning 28 today. I had not planned on going down this weekend. I also remember the last time I skipped one of Cammie's birthdays. She didn't talk to me for like 6 weeks. I think I learned my lesson. So we stopped halfway and rode the rest of the way with my older sister, Marianne.
I don't generally "ride" with anyone preferring to control every situation in which I'm in a moving car. This weekend though I just didn't 'feel' like driving and Marianne is generally a good driver. You will notice I said generally.
So Mason and I get to her house and we get the carseat switched over which was an adventure all in itself. We get headed to the interstate and I always look to see how much gas people have that I am riding with because one of my biggest pet peeves is running out of gas or having to search last minute for a gas station. And that really fairly well sums up my family. They will put in just enough to make it to their destination and it just makes me nervous. So here we are almost to the interstate and I notice that she is already on E. I hint at it and she said 'Alright but just to shut you up but we do have enough to make it all the way to Tabor.' There is not rejoiner for that. None. So she humored me and pulled into the gas station and put in 4 gallons. Yep. I mean really there was no need to fill the tank was there. Then I notice that her front tire was almost flat.
After finally getting the gas in the tank and the tire aired up she decided to wash her car. She put in her $2 worth of quarters and starts washing the car. We were both listening for the beeps of the machine telling us she needed to add more quarters to keep it running and it never beeped it just shut off and there was still soap all over the car. In order to start the machine again she needed to put in another $2 in. Well she only had 7 quarters. Seven as in S-E-V-E-N. You know $1.75. So she searched her car for more quarters and found none. Neither of us had any dollar bills. No that would have been to easy. The only cash either of had on us was a 20 dollar bill. The change machine only gives quarters. So there went my 20 dollar bill for 80 quarters. She only used one.
So there I am stuck with all these quarters. I know how awesome!!
So she finally finishes and pulls out of the car wash and pulls up to a spot in the middle of nowhere in the middle of this parking lot and gets out and gets a bottle of oil out of her trunk. Yep. Not only did we have to get gas and air up a tire and wash the car but we also had to put oil in.
She just totally verified why I always drive.
To top off the rest of the drive she texted and drove with her knee. And somehow I forgot that she hugs that middle line something fierce.
By the time we got to my mom's I'd almost decided that I'd had enough excitement for the weekend but I knew that if I didn't 'go out' that Cammie wouldn't talk to me until Halloween. So I sucked it up knowing it would be me driving home.
We had an awesome time going out in Tabor. We visited both bars and they drank and drank and drank. Oh, and who could forget the smoking and smoking and smoking. I know sounds awesome. We laughed and made fun of each other all night. We even got to see some people we hadn't seen in a long time. Nothing like catching up with old friends.
We got back to mom's around 3 and we couldn't believe she had waited up for us. She didn't even wait up for us in high school. She never knew what time we got home now though she has to know what time we get home and she has us call her when we leave town. Even though it is only 4.5 miles.
Sunday morning came way too early. At 8 am my son and nephew were outside punting a football at the front of the house. Unfortunately for Mare and me we were sleeping in the bedroom at the front of the house. Hard to sleep when you hear the football hitting the front of the house and them yelling at each other through the open windows.
Our wonderful mother made us some oh so yummy pancakes and eggs. No worry of salmonella from these eggs though. They are fresh from the hen house behind the house. We enjoyed a lazy morning with family. My mom's mom and sister came down and we ate water melon for lunch. Really a almost perfect Sunday morning.
We left mom's at one and headed home. You know after the stop at hy-vee for food stuff for camping next weekend. I usually just give my sister money for my part of the groceries because it easier than me finding another cooler to bring meat in. This year though I just paid for my meat at the store and she'll bring it out with the camper. I also picked up all the stuff for my punch. I'm taking 6 bags of it this year. I know we'll go through at least that much.
We got to Mare's about 3 and I finally got home about 7:30. You know after my own stop at the grocery store. I knew Austin hadn't been home all weekend because he was helping a friend with some hay. Yes, he is crazy!! He volunteers to help with hay for free. FREE!! Crazy.
And that brings us to today. So far today I've actually unloaded our bag (and my suitcase from the weekend before) and washed clothes, cleaned the bathroom (including Cometing the tub), washed dishes, vacuumed, swept and mopped, and now blogged. I'd say that makes today a fairly productive day. I think it is now time for a nap. It's going to be a busy week.

Good Day
I wasn't able to wait until Wednesday to buy some fabric... I just couldn't!! I saw this awesome sale on some pre-order fabric... I love this fabric!! Like in LOVE LOVE LOVE this fabric so I had to. I just couldn't just not get it. Could I? I have grand plans for this stuff... Fandango by Moda Isn't it GORGEOUS!!
I think that is enough !! in one paragraph...
My newborn shoot ended up being yesterday... It went good. New, nervous, mother... When I finally get done editing I will post them.
I also got a chest of drawers from a gal in Boone. I found a tutorial for an ironing board that I can put on the top of it. My current ironing board is looking a little worse for wear... In the drawers I'll be able to 'hide' some of my fabric stash. I know that I would be able to find some thing new for this purpose but why when something used will work just as well. I am nothing if not cheap! I have plans to paint it and make it cute. Okay so maybe not cute as I would like it to be in my dining room but you know, at least, better looking than it does right now. My husband was shocked when I came home with it in the back of the truck. All I have to say is that he should have gone with me to town when I asked him to. One of these days he will learn!
The tutorial I found for the ironing board is not available yet because she is having problems with spam comments on her blog, Pleasant Home. Specifically spam comments on that post. I'm hoping that she will have it up again soon. I think I would be able to 'wing' it but would rather not. I'm just crazy that way.
This week has flown by! Here it is already Thursday and I've got nothing done. I have photos to edit and a baby blanket ensemble to get done and mailed. Two actually if you really want to get technical. I know I'll get the photos done by tomorrow afternoon. The baby things will just have to wait until Monday because I'm going to my little sister's bday party this weekend. I'll be driving down to Mare's on Saturday and then riding with her the rest of the way. We'll be leaving Mom's around noon on Sunday. I should be home by 5 or so hopefully on Sunday. You'll notice I mentioned nothing about having to take Mason with me because he is staying with Dad. Hehe. I will enjoy my 24 hours alone. It isn't often that I get to spend any quality time with my mom and sisters. There are 5 boys between us and we are constantly having to set one of them to rights. Whether that be clothing or actually reading them their rights, which are few by the way...
Now I'm off to do a 4 hour 30 minute tidy. I've got laundry to switch over, some dishes to do, a little light mopping, and some vacuuming that needs done. It might take a little over 30 minutes but no more than an hour I've decided.
Have a great day!!

I ♥ Bullet Points
- Austin got back from Indiana a whole day early... Totally messed up my semi-alone time...
- I absolutely love my new sewing machine!!! Here is the link... Brother sq9000
- I've made 6 baby blankets, 6 bibs, and 12 burp cloths over the last 2 weeks. 80 percent of those were done in John Deere prints.
- Mason has only had one accident in his pants.
- Playing in the hose has become an everyday occurrence. A necessary occurrence.
- I have gotten 6 tomatoes off my tomato plant.
- Hyde and Tootsie are driving me nuts...
- We spent a lovely week at my parents house last week.
- We made it to the Iowa State Fair on Saturday. I got sunburnt. Only me... We had no food on a stick... A record to be sure....
- Mason won't let me out of his sight... I'm sneaking out of the house this evening!!
- My laundry is almost caught up...
- I have no idea where my husband got all his socks from.
- Little boy undies are so... little boyish... they really should come pre-streaked... so gross!
- I'm out of bleach and my garbage can needs a good scrubbing
- I have a newborn shoot tomorrow
- I still need to post my last newborn shoot... whoops...
- My yard needs mowed...
- My floors need vacuumed but the vacuum is no longer working... um... neither is the smoke alarm anymore...
- The dishes are done... but not put away...
- The lift my husband brought back from Indiana was very heavy but is put away nice and pretty in the garage...
- I have an urge to buy fabric... I think I will on Wednesday... pending toddler behavior...
- Tootsie destroyed my favorite bathroom rug... I'm still not on talking terms with her about it!
- I made a really cute hanging beside organizer... Mason uses it like a rope ladder to get on my bed... a habit that needs broken.
And that fairly well sums up my last two weeks in no certain order. Sorry to have wasted your time... I have my pictures from everyday but no energy or motivation to get them posted. I figure some time before the end of the year I'll get it up to date.
I promise I'll be in a better mood tomorrow!!

My Day
Anyways...
So my husband is in Indiana at the house we still own... You read that right. The. House. We. Still. Own.
Four years is how long it has been sitting empty... Four years!
He went out this weekend with his dad to get the lift and air compressor out of the garage. We originally left them as a selling point of the house but now we want to be able to use them. And they obviously aren't helping to sell the house.
Onto other more pleasant stuff...
I bought a new sewing machine today... I haven't got to take it out of the box yet. Mason was such a handful today that I just didn't have the time. In other words I wouldn't have been able to give my full attention to getting it set up. Even after he went to bed I was cleaning and getting stuff ready for tomorrow so it is still sitting in the box. I'll break it out here in a little bit.
Potty training is going great. I don't dare go to town yet without him having a diaper on but we'll get there. He is getting better about the poop issue. He is a little boy and it is just soooo much fun to pee standing up that he doesn't want to sit down so it... um... falls out while he is peeing. Let me tell you how totally awesome that is on my white bathroom mats. Yep, pretty AWESOME. Oh, and his aim!! Yep. Nuf said there. I have no expectation of my bathroom smelling un-urinal like in the near future... I know that sounds like it should be an easy fix but... it isn't. I clean the bathroom before I go to bed every night because really who wants their bathroom to smell like piss? Not me!! It never fails though that after the first time he goes pee it smells. I know I could clean it up after every time he goes but he goes like every 20 minutes. I would never leave the bathroom!! I have taken to just spraying it down with some vinegar and bleach every couple of hours. Not ideal but better than the old urinal smell.
Overall we have had a pretty good day. Mason went down for bed surprisingly easy. I couldn't believe it. I figured he would cry and cry but he didn't. He did ask for tons of kisses. Melt my heart!! Nothing is better than little boy bedtime kisses. It makes up for him being so naughty. Most days anyways.
The dogs also had an active day. They found a dead toad in the yard and had to roll around on it for awhile so after Mason's last poop and his bath they also got baths. Nothing is worse than trying to give two minpins baths... I was drenched afterwards! I literally wrung out my shirt. I don't know if I'll ever get the wet dog smell out of my bra either... My favorite bra!! I don't know what I was thinking. Well I do... I was thinking they smelled. They smelled bad. There was no way they were getting on my bed smelling like that! Especially Hyde since he seems to think he needs to sleep on my spare pillow above my head. Yes above my head. I am short and like my toes hanging off the end of the bed when I sleep on my stomach so there is room for another pillow above my head. I put a crappy pillow in an old pillowcase and he sleeps there. It was either that or fight him over my pillow. Call me lazy! I tried to train him to sleep on Austin's pillow but he just won't.
So that is how my day has gone. I am ready for some cooler temps and my boy to learn to poop on the potty. After all these hot temps and crazy humidity though it is a toss up as to what one I would choose if presented with the choice of just one.
I'm sure tomorrow will be just as... wonderful so I'm gonna go play with my new machine and then go to bed. My goal is midnight to be in bed... Quit laughing...

um...
So on to the new week...
This summer has gone way too fast. We have been enjoying our days at home. Mason has been driving me crazy. As in he won't leave me alone crazy. He is constantly under my feet, pulling on my leg, torturing the dogs, getting in the freezer, playing in the sink and destroying my house everyday...
On a good note: Mason is potty trained!!! His aim leaves something to be desired and my bathroom smells like a urinal by the end of the day but at least he is hitting the toilet most of the time anyways. It is so cute walking by the bathroom and seeing his cute little but as he is peeing. It is not so cute when you hear giggling come from the bathroom and when I go to check it out and he is peeing over his shoulder.
I told you his aim left something to be desired!!
Hopefully we are over those kinds of aiming problems... After a couple of times in time out and some well needed baths which he hates in the middle of the day he is at least aiming for the potty.
Mason has also learned how to share.
I realize that most kids at the age of 3 already know how to share. All I have to say is that most of those are in daycare or have siblings. An only child at home with just his mother for most of the time never has to share. It isn't as though I want to play with his toys. He forces me to. Which I don't count as sharing. I count that as torture. It never fails that he will get upset with me because I can't make the car noise just right or I turn the car left when I should have turned it right. I know being an only child is hard work I'm sure.
Well being the mother of an only child is hard work too.
Especially one that so intense... Yes intense is the right word I'm looking for. He is just like his father. You know cute as all get out and spoiled. Which leaves me so outnumbered it isn't even funny.
And now I have to go clean the house that was clean this morning but wasn't to the 3 year-olds liking... I guess it could be worse though... he could have been twins...

I'm A Blonde
So instead of going through and fixing it there will be new post next week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday...
If I can manage it there might be one on Monday and Tuesday too... Depends on how much help I get this weekend... Austin took my hammer away and has yet to give it back... Something about hanging ugly things and there not being enough room in the kitchen for another welcome sign... I beg to differ but whatever. Maybe when he runs to town for 'parts' I can find my hammer and get my stuff hung. I know he will have to run to town for 'parts' sometime today just because that is the way it works!
So now I am off to enjoy my weekend... starting by going to the store and hitting a few garage sales and goodwill and maybe even an antique store by myself... I'll be talking to myself by the end of the day don't worry...

And This Makes Three
Austin was going to just pick up the snake and take it out, but I could see that going to wrong on so many different levels so I brought him this pitcher. Thankfully it is just a pitcher I use to water my tomato plant. Otherwise you know it would have to be burned.
We had to put another pitcher on top of it to keep the stupid thing trapped. The cream pitcher is just another plant pitcher.
I love when Mason dresses himself. I don't so much love when my husband picks out his own clothes... I've tried to throw these yellow things away but they end up back in his dresser...
The dogs were running around the snake in circles deciding who would get to bite it first. We haven't heard buddy bark too many times and he is generally mild mannered but he was barking and growling and having a great time. He sounds HUGE when he barks and growls. No wonder the mailman won't get out of his truck.Monday, July 19, 2010
Just Another Baby Shower
This one was for a little girl. I love little girls stuff!! So pink and purply and fun!!
I even made some bibs.
Bibs are so very easy to make. I cheat a little even.
First I cut out my template. I then pin it to my backing and insert material. I don't cut out my insert material that way it doesn't all shift around on me and I have something to grip while sewing.
Here it is ready to be sewn.
And now it is ready to be trimmed.
I know. It is just amazing.

Ha!
We are going to enjoy a relaxing weekend at home. We might go to the Boone County fair but I doubt it. I'm going to hoist Mason off on his dad for most of the weekend because that little 3 year old is kicking my butt and I need some room to breathe.
I have some plans to do some things around the house and just generally be lazy. Hope everyone enjoys their weekends!! I'll be back Monday with some pretty pictures of some recent projects. I know what you're thinking but really there will post up Monday thru Friday and I can guarantee it because they are scheduled already. I know I could have posted them all today but then why would you come back. I know but it is called anticipation. I have been one busy lady!! I have the sunburn to prove it!!
You'll also want to check in on my PictureMyEveryday on Monday because there will be some new photos up there as well. I told you I had been busy!!

T G I F
It's Friday. I'm in a better mood. The word 'mom' when screeched at the top of the little boys lungs has turned into a bad word. That when used just to get my attention or ask for juue (juice) gets him put in time-out.
This does not make me mean.
It is teaching him respect...
Daniel goes home on Sunday. Is it Sunday yet?
We have a busy afternoon planned. We are going to the post office and then to the park. When we get home I am making hamburgers for supper which I know will be protested by the guys in the house. I figure if they want something different then they can cook it!!
Tomorrow the guys are going to a birthday party and I am going to a baby shower. I will meet them at the birthday party when the shower is over. I am not going to hurry though. I am not stupid!!
I was hoping my husband would get off of work early today but I realized that wasn't going to happen when he didn't even leave the house until around 7:30. He was oh so thoughtful and woke up both little boys before he left though. Tomorrow though we are all sleeping in. Well the boys will be sleeping while I have fun with the husband. I'll gladly give up a little sleep for some morning delight. I just really wish Daniel wasn't such a night owl so I could sleep in too. We however don't need him going home with those kind of stories. My siblings would eat that up.
And on to the sibling front...
Both of my brothers have broken bones... Darin broke his collarbone in a dirt bike accident 2 weeks ago. Donnie Guy got his cast off of his left wrist the week before Darin broke his collar bone. Just this last Tuesday he broke his right wrist when he fell down the stairs at work. Those two are making this a long summer! I'm just thankful that neither was hurt any worse than they were. Darin somehow slammed himself up against a wall to set his collar bone. I grimace in pain every time I think about it. Donnie Guy broke his first wrist doing a trick on a horse that went wrong. From what I gather he was standing on Whiskey's back and something spooked him and when Donnie went to slide back down on his back his spur got him in the left rear flank and from there Whiskey started jumping. I've tried telling Donnie Guy that he is 41 not 21 or even 31... Deaf ears I tell ya. Which ironically just another sign of getting older... At least he hurt himself at work this time so he can get paid during his unemployment or get put on light duty...
I'm almost done with my shower gift for tomorrow. Little girl stuff is so much fun!! I have photos but they will have to wait until Sunday or Monday as the mother reads this little blog... But trust me they are cute!
And now to feed the little boys and get to my errands...

MondayTuesday
Mason and Daniel slept until past 10. I know!! How Awesome!! Right?
I was able to sleep and finish my bedside book and shower all before those two bright eyed, naughty boys decided to roll out of bed.
Then instead of breakfast we decided to have an early lunch. Then they decided they both needed to spend some time in time-out. I'm totally okay with time-outs. Three to eight minutes of silence... you betcha I can handle time-outs.
The unfortunate part is that what I was working on couldn't handle the time-outs.
I am making some cute, cute, CUTE baby bibs for a baby shower I am going to on Saturday. A girl baby shower!! You can tell on my top stitch exactly where the time outs were. O'well after a couple of washings no one will be able to tell. At least that is what I am telling myself.
And now I have to figure out something for supper... Isn't that always the question when the day winds down. I don't feel like cooking... So I am going to try to talk Austin into going into town for supper... Otherwise we are having hamburgers again...

Note to Self
Memory cards don't like to be dropped... even from my short height... it is still too far...

Tweezers work good for emergency memory card surgery... Well that and a lot of wiggling and giggling... and a little bit of cussing helps too...

Make sure kids are out of earshot before performing emergency surgery on memory cards...

'A Decade'
This year we are celebrating the same way we have for 6 out of the last 10 years. I will be spending the evening in the car... I know we should probably spend the night together but after 10 years it really is just another day. I'm so thankful that we don't 'do' birthdays or anniversaries!
I did see on facebook that my loving husband referred to this anniversary as the decade anniversary. That makes it sound like it has been long. I will be sure to rib him about it later and for many years to come...
I will see my love tomorrow when he gets to grandpa's. We didn't end up getting each other anything... yet. I have told him he can get the windshield for his motorcycle. I am getting a new sewing machine so we will come out even. I know we are real adventurous people.
That is okay because he knows I love him more today than I did yesterday and tomorrow I will love him more than I did today...
Yep that is all I have today...
I've been busy... Doing what I don't know.
This weekend is Farmer's Merchants Picnic and next week I will be at mom and dad's most likely. When I get home I am grounded until I get caught up!! I am planning on doing some catching up while down home. Amazingly I don't too much to do while everyone is at work. I know, go figure!

10 years
I can't believe it has been 10 years!!
Some of those years are just a blur... We have both changed so much and grown closer together that I don't even recognize those two teenagers that we were when we got married.
10 years from now will I recognize us as we are about to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Sometimes I would just like to know what the 10 years hold for us.
I'm thinking a good arguement is in store for us soon. We have been riding the calm wave for too long. Maybe I could give the fight of ice cubes for our anniversary. That one is always fun. Mainly because I am right and he is w r o n g. I think he needs reminded of that fact.
I'm thinking he may just deserve that windshield for his motorcycle for putting up with me. I will admit that I have not been the easiest person to live with the last couple of years. We are finally seeing the light on the horizon though and hopefully my hormonal problem is ebbing to a close. Wouldn't that just be wonderful!!
And so now I'm gonna go continue editing photos to update my picturemyeveryday and contemplate gift choices for him. I need to figure out way to maximize the return of said gift into what I want with little complaint from him. That is the tricky part!! Therefore I'm not going to remind him of our anniversary until the day before. Leave him little time to get me something so the guilt can be added to my equation.
Happy Wednesday!!

...
Maybe Monday I'll get some time to myself without having other things on my to-do list... I have no goals for next week. Well other than to just get out of bed.

Playing Catch Up
We have decided to forego 3 year old preschool this fall. It is based off of income and the cheapest teir is 70 a month. I just couldn't justify 70 a month for two day a week for 2.5 hours. I did look into the program and it is just a bunch of playing with some numbers and ABCs thrown in. We already do a whole bunch of that. Mason can already say his ABCs, count to ten and knows his colors and shapes. When those are the goals for the year it wasn't a real hard decision. Next year the 4 year preschool is free and 4 hours 3 days a week. I can handle that.
I was glad to see that I wasn't the only in town to decide not to send my child this year. Evidently I am not the only parent not willing to pay that kind of money for a 2.5 hour social play group. Last year the lowest fee was 50. The only way to get out of paying the 70 is if you are on any sort of state program. Thank you share the wealth... I'm not bitter about it though...
All next week I will have my 13 year old niece, Morgan, staying with me. I am excited!! She is just a younger version of me. We look alike, talk alike, and even give the same facial expression which drives my brother nuts. Once in a while when she is being a real pill to him he will text me his frustrations... I love those text messages!! After all those years he tortured me it is nice to see him getting a little payback!
Last Wednesday my husband had a little kickball game for work and Mason and I went. It was fun to see my husband interact with his coworkers. After everything was cleaned up from the after-game
So that fairly well catches us up to current. Hopefully I'll get back to this computer before the end of next week but if not just know that I am probably nursing a sunburn and sitting on the edge of the tub. Summer should be a blast since Mason has decided that he is ready to potty train... Awesome!!
