wii had a lot of fun

Yesterday being my birthday we went into town to go out to eat and to get our b-day/christmas present. No there isn't more than one of me!! Austin's b-day is in January so we usually decide on one big thing and combine our b-days and Christmas. This year he got to decide what we got. I think he made a good decision. Mind you I had no clue what it was until we got into Best Buy and he picked it up.
Next we went to eat. Mexican at La Carretas. Mason was good and ate also instead of retard people watching. We like going there. We have a 'usual'. Never did I think we would have a 'usual' somewhere. We have been going there for literally 6 years. We walk in, they take Mason and ask us if we are having the usual, we say yes, they bring me an iced tea, Austin a water with no ice, a milk for Mason and cheese dip for the chips. I always get the super burrito with an extra plate for Mason and Austin gets a #3 whatever that is. Some people get annoyed because we aren't there very long and we already have our food. They have just started to tell people that we call ahead. People can be so stupid. When Austin gets done with his plate they come over and ask if he wants the Fried Ice Cream or the Xango. Last night he got the Xango because he planned on sharing with me. He is sweet sometimes. I think we were in and out of there in under 45 minutes. We left home at 4 and got back home about 6:30. We are nothing if not efficient.
When we got home we watched Survivor, I was so glad to see Randy go, I couldn't believe how hard Sugar was laughing. Now they need to get rid of Kenny and Corinne, but that is a whole other subject.
So after Survivor we hooked up the wii and I kicked Austin's butt at bowling and boxing. Golf I didn't do so good, for 3 holes I was a +8. I did a lot better this morning I was a +1 on 9 holes. I couldn't believe my score last night I am actually good golf, at least when the girls are restrained properly. I really like golf. I always have, I just don't like to golf with Austin because he takes so long. Again a whole other subject.
So that is what we did last night. Nothing too exciting. I am actually surprised Austin waited so long to get the wii. I am sure he will play it a lot more than me especially when he finds out that you can download older Nintendo games.
Well I'm off to put another coat of mud on the bathroom. We don't have very much longer and it absolutely has to be done. I plan on painting on Sunday. That is the plan but whether or not that actually happens is another story.

What did he call him?

Mason recently has been into renaming things and has decided to rename Hyde, Sid. The sad thing is that he actually comes to it. Mason loves to watch Sid, the Science Kid on IPTV in the mornings. It is so cute he tries to mimic him. I have no clue why he thought that Hyde needed to be named Sid but I guess whatever works.
For the longest time Austin couldn't figure out why Mason was calling the dog Sid. I finally had to explain it to him. He actually asked me why I didn't stop him. Um... because... he is one and doesn't care what I say. He wants it his way and only his way and I am sure he will grow out of it... eventually... I am sure of it.
Mason has started to call me Momma Rura. I am not a huge fan of this. Austin thinks it is hilarious. At least until Mason started to call him Papa Oney (Honey). I sure have got a lot of laughs out of it. I swear sometimes Austin has no sense of humor.

My Ordinary Day!

Now that we have finally slowed down enough to be home for one whole day I can now tell you about an ordinary day. At least in this household.

7:30 to 9:00 Wake up. This all depends on if the sun is shinning or if it is cloudy. I like the cloudy days.

7:30 to 9:00 Mason goes potty and we change his diaper and clothes if he leaked. Breakfast. Cereal with a half banana and a sippy of milk.

10:00 to 11:00 I check my email and blog. If I don't get finished I will steal a couple of minutes here and there to finish by the time Austin gets home.

Breakfast to 11:00 Mason plays and destroy the house and let the dog in and out a million times.

11:00 Lunch. Sippy of milk. Fruit and sandwich. (meat or cheese depending on what is in the fridge)

1:00 Story time. Lately the favorite book is Bubbles, Bubbles. (I have nightmares about this book.)

1:30 Austin gets home to go to his 'hobby'. He changes and then roughhouses with Mason and Hyde until he leaves at 2.

2:00 Mason chases Hyde around the house. (I think I need to change nap time because he does this everyday and I think it is just him being tired and trying to stay awake)

3:00 Let the dog out grab 'Mine' and go take a nap in his crib. Let dog back in.

3:00 to 5:30 I wash dishes, do laundry, pick up the house, vacuum, sweep the kitchen and bathroom, mop the kitchen, clean the bathroom sink mirror and toilet. Time permitting I jump in the shower and start supper. All while letting the dog in and out another million times.

5:30 Go wake Mason up give him a snack of 1 pear half cut up and sippy of water.

5:45 Austin gets home from 'hobby' and takes Mason. Changes diaper and weather permitting they go outside and play or roughhouse until supper is ready.

7:00 Eat supper. He finally eats what we eat. No more special meal preparations.
7:30 to 8:15 Mason destroys the living room again playing.

8:15 Bath jammies and story. Grab 'Mine' and go to bed.

After Mason goes to bed I rinse the dirty dishes and put them in the sink. Let the dog in and out another million times and 30 minutes after Austin heads to bed I go up to bed also. Mason no longer wakes up in the middle of the night but Hyde does. Around 2:30 Hyde wakes up and has to go outside. I am still at a loss as to why this has to be me, really Austin's alarm goes off at 3 and there have been numerous times where Austin's alarm has been the reason for Hyde waking up. Try as I might Austin will not let him out though.

On this particular day Mason woke up grumpy. Most days he is a happy little smiley thing.

It might have taken him awhile to wake up.

On this day we watched Bob the builder while eating breakfast.

Right before lunch and he has destroyed my living room.

My wonderful Husband came home from work after Mason was down for his nap he saw my camera on the table and decided to catch me unawares. I think I said something along the lines of 'You BUTT'.
Yes those are paint brushes you see beside my sink because he forgot to bring them inside and it had started to rain and I wanted him to be able to find them without me.

He usually wakes up from nap in a good mood.

A very good mood.

This is what I get when I ask him to smile.

I caught him playing with my card reader that was in my camera bag in the office. He has learned to climb over the chair. I think I need to invest in more gates.
I didn't get all the laundry folded during nap time if you notice the couch in background.

Mason waving Bye Bye

This wasn't taken on our 'Ordinary Day' but I thought it fit perfectly.

Peace and Quiet

At least for a little while.
Austin took Mason with him to town for parts this morning.
That means that I have the house to myself for about an hour.
I can't believe he took him. He doesn't know what the part is that he needs and knows they will have to look it up and that he will be there for a half hour at least.
I hope he doesn't go too crazy and that Mason doesn't cry too much.
Why?
Because it would ruin my chances of Austin ever taking him again.
Alone.
As in without dragging me along also.

Quiet Sunday

Usually on Sundays my house is rather loud. Between Hyde and Mason fighting for Austin's attention and the TV or radio it is rather noisy. Not today. Austin has the flu so he is in bed. Mason doesn't know he is home so he thinks it is a work day so we are on schedule and Mason is napping. Hyde knows that Austin is home and upstairs under the electric blanket. Hyde is not stupid so he is up there as well. Being the spoiled dog that he is he is also under the blanket. Only I am awake. I am not doing anything noisy like washing dishes because I don't want to disturb Austin. I know I am such a good wife. Really I am I don't even dry heave when I empty his bucket. Maybe that has more to do with a strong stomach over being a good wife, but we aren't going to split hairs. For today I am a good wife. I will get back to my normal self after he is feeling better. I refuse for this change to be anywhere near permanent. I would hate for him to expect me to be this complacent all the time.

Now on another note. My mother-in-law, Robin, Mason and I went to church today. My front windshield cracked from the cold. Mason had a pooplosion at church and again at Perkins afterwards. Two in one day. That is a record for him. Reading this it might sound like I had a bad day but that is not the case. I am having a good hair day so all this other stuff is trivial. If I had been having a bad or even just okay hair day it would be a different story.

As I was taking a photo of the said good hair to prove it I noticed that I am starting to look old. Well okay maybe not old but deffinatly tired.

I have bags under my eyes.

Where in the world did that zit come from?

My lips are chapped from the below zero temps.

This is why most photos are of the back of my head.

I don't care though because I am having a good hair day.

This is how my hair is usually worn. Mason is too quick on the grabbing.

Amazing what a couple of minutes with a curling iron will do.

Maybe one of these days I'll get my straight iron back from Cammie.

Christmas Vacation

Only 4 more days and Austin goes back to work. I don't have enough projects to keep him busy. That means for a couple of those days he will be annoying me.
Today I got lucky and he is helping a friend cut down some trees. He should be bringing back a good truck load or two. That would be nice. Otherwise I will find myself out in the grove making sure that he doesn't kill himself cutting down some of our trees. I know that this spring we will have to cut some down but it will about 50 degrees not 10.
I know that you get two guy friends together with chain saws and some bad stuff can happen but Austin and Sterling don't drink. They should be relatively safe. Sterling is experienced at cutting down trees. I am too but I don't count for advise because I am a girl and therefore don't know anything useful about stuff like that. Yeah, Right. Maybe I can use my power of persuasion and get them to come to my house tomorrow to cut down some. Anyways. Today he is occupied. Tomorrow he is probably going to be my headache, no, no I meant handful. I swear. . . Anyone want to trade for the day.
I am sure we will spend half the day arguing. I love to argue. I call it my hobby. It is just that I am sure he will want to do something that I think is dangerous and will try to talk me into letting him. Like working on the corn crib. I won this argument last weekend because of the ice.
What does he think I am? Stupid. There is no way I am going to let him work on the corn crib. The thing is leaning and creaks and pops really bad when the wind blows and he wants to get in it and take out a beam. No way. His life insurance policy doesn't cover stupidity.
I don't know why he can't be the type of husband who moves a recliner and a TV to the garage to avoid his wife. Sometimes that would be great. To know that he is just in the garage watching TV instead of doing something idiotic. I have even suggested it and he said. "Why, I like to keep busy."
